My hair is growing! My hair is growing!
I love life. Normal life. Waking up in the morning with my kids, getting them off to school. I find myself smiling to myself all the time doing the most mundane tasks. My definition of a mom has changed. I am no longer striving to reach this unrealistic mantle of perfection that I could never quite reach. It was always a give and take before. Now I feel like I'm just receiving, all the time. I had to let go of some things, but cancer helped with that. I have wanted to write an essay for a while called "How Cancer Gave Me My Life Back." But maybe another day. For now I will do laundry and dishes and cuddle my boys and collapse on the couch at the end of it, exhausted, but completely and totally fulfilled. If there is one thing I am impatient with, it is myself- my stamina and endurance...but I'm getting there.
I was diagnosed as HEPATITIS B carrier in 2013 with fibrosis of the
