For the Indoorsy Kind of Girl

Aren't I so cool, in my pajamas, in the late afternoon, watching Friends, posing in front of Photobooth with my s'more?!!

i know.

Lately I have been craving s'mores. Really really bad. And I am documenting this tiny thing because I want to remember the tiny things of my life. I made one of those Pinterest s'more bar recipes and it was NOT AS GOOD AS A REGULAR S'MORE.
I'm not a camper. I am not a girl scout. So I rarely get s'mores. The only time I maybe get one in the whole entire year is on the Fourth of July if our neighbor decides to build a fire in his fire pit (which he sometimes doesn't). So this week when I went grocery shopping, I bought graham crackers, marshmellows, and a giant Hershey's bar. I keep them all in a large ziploc bag, that McKay is not allowed to enter. Plus, I only have enough supplies left for like one s'more and I have averaged less-than-three a day. It was not enough to share.

Directions for a perfect microwave s'more:

break graham cracker
put chocolate on half of it, with marshmallow on top
stick it in microwave for 11 seconds
watch it
the marshmallow will start to explode, but just let it happen. but try not to let it overflow
if it does, it's okay- just lick it off
then stick it all together and eat it.

did I gross you out enough?

kbye.

  1. Microwave s'mores are the best. Your clothes don't smell like fire afterward! ;)

  4. sometimes i used marshmallow creme and don't even bother melting a marshmallow. BUT you can also "roast" it over a stove top burner!! happy eating.

OH WAIT. also i make these s'mores bars and they're unreal:

  11. Try broiling them in the oven!! Put the marshmallow on one half of the graham Cracker and the chocolate on the other and then flip the marshmallow once it starts to brown and then let the other side brown. And then eat it!!! I die every time.

  20. So you've got a spammer up there ^. That aside, I LOVE indoor s'mores. A lot of people recommended the oven, but that's way too much work for me and my oven takes a million years to preheat and doesn't have a broiler. SO another simple way is to roast your marshmallow on the stove! I have a gas stove, but I've done it over an electric burner as well. Just stick the marshmallow on a fork and go to town. (Just be careful with the fork, because it gets really hot.) I've also done it with chocolate chips and a little bit of peanut butter in the microwave.
