Good/Bad

Shirt: Urban; Cardigan: Nords (stolen from gma); Pants: Gap; Shoes: Nords Rack

Good:

-I am cleaning my house of the germs from McKay's sickness this weekend and I love that feeling.
-I got to go wedding cake-testing with my cousin on Saturday and that was really fun.
- I found the dang table runner I have been looking for for eight months and my grandma bought it for me because I didn't have my wallet. Win/win. Thanks gma!
-Last night I went to go check on Jax before I went to bed and I heard him coughing so I picked him up and we cuddled. Then I put him back in his crib and he just closed his eyes and fell asleep. I love those moments.
-My best friend called me just to tell me that she loves me yesterday.
-McKay and I went on a date on Friday. We got a free PF Changs appetizer thanks to one of those things on FB and people-watched. THEN we went to Anthony's where we each had our own version of dessert: McKay- a whole loaf of sourdough bread with butter, applied like frosting; Ali- chocolate lava cake (my new favorite. It's even better than the cobbler.)

Bad:

-McKay got sick this weekend. Really sick. You couldn't really understand unless you were here to witness the moans. I was a better wife this time and with every moan, just offered a back massage or something. This time he didn't compare it to child-labor though, so that helped with my empathy.
-It's my "special time," so I am a little more irritable than normal. That probably explains why I even feel the need to include this next thing.
-A moment happened yesterday that bugged me. I was talking to a group of people and I said something about "when McKay and I go to the mall." A guy asked, "How often do you guys go to the mall?" Obviously...I don't know. December- probably every week (getting presents, etc.) October- probably zero times. Anyways, I tried to average the year out in my head and I said, "Like twice a month." Right after I said that- Girl 1: "THAT IS A LOTTTTT..." Girl 2: "Yeahhh, that is A LOT..."  It was so awkward. I felt weird until I went home.
-Last night I was craving cookies and so I made them. This morning I honestly ate like five or six of them. That and peaches are all I have eaten so far today.
-My face is breaking out due to my "special time," and probably my sugar-eating and no water-drinking.

Okay, I'll end on a happy-note with one more good:

Tonight we are watching Bachelor Pad and I might just count that as family night. I feel like it's what our family really needs right now. just kidding.

  3. You crack me up! I really wish you would move to Utah. Don't worry, I live pretty much across the street from the mall and I have been known to go like 3 and 4 times a week. I don't think twice a month is bad at all.

  4. : / i hate when someone makes a comment that makes you feel awkward for the rest of the time you're around him/her. all you can do is try to laugh & shake it off. but i hear you, sometimes it just dampens the whole afternoon.

    p.s. love your polka-dotted shirt!

  5. Ali you're doing a great job with your blog! I just gave you a shout out on Pinterest, and I'll post it on my Fan Page--I hope it helps to drive a little traffic. Keep it up! If you ever get the urge to be my personal stylist, I'd totally be okay with that. Just come over and tell me what to wear--I'm close enough, lol.

  6. Me & Rich go to the mall ALL. THE. TIME. Practically every weekend lately. There's always something we (okay, I) absolutely need to get and no, I can't wait until next weekend. :P Rich and one of his friends have gone on Sephora strike though ..we're allowed to go in, but they sure aren't following!

  7. Love the dots and stripes! And I'm pretty sure I go to the mall weekly...so twice a month (on average) is nothing!

  8. Love this! And if those people thought you going to the mall twice a MONTH was strange, they'd straight up pass out if they heard how often I was there! Although, I literally live one minute walk from our main street/mall so that's some excuse...maybe...? :)
