Sunglasses: Anthro; Necklace: Nordstrom; Sweater: Madewell
I actually feel really awkward posting this pic. It's like the "trying to be a model" type of picture. But, every. single. other. picture. was so bad you guys. Seriously. And plus in this pic you can see the new sunglasses I got to replace my other ones. The other ones were so exciting to get because they were Versace (my first/only designer pair) and I felt like they would go with everything. That was UNTIL I saw a man wearing them. And realized they were MENS. Such an unfortunate mistake.
1. We are leaving on a cruise this Saturday. Before we leave on a vacation, I like to have our house spotless- so that we can come home to a clean, good-smelling house. And I like to clean the day before we leave- so that all the garbage cans are empty, the laundry is done, the dishwasher is empty, and there is not a crumb on the floor. Also, I don't like to pack until right before we leave. SO right now, my house is dirty, I am unpacked, I have laundry to do, blah blah blah...but I am not going to worry about any of it- until the day before we leave! That will be such a lovely day!
2. Yesterday was so great. I decided that I was going to do all my errands. My MALL errands. So Jax and I first went to his dr appt (which I was 20 min late for because I thought it was at noon, not 11:40, and had to reschedule in front of a room of moms. so embarrassing). Then we went to the mall. I only bought the things I needed. I needed: hand soap from BBW, "some tanks" for McKay, shoes for Jax, leggings and plain v-necks for me, summer things for Jax, Nioxin for McKay (it works!), and heat-protectant for my hair. And I left with ONLY those things. Miracle. But, I just have to say, that Nordstrom has THE BEST leggings right now in BP. They are thick, and the fabric doesn't get all balled, but they don't look spandex-y and they have a wide waistband which I really like. And they are fitted if you have a flat bum like me. Here they are. And I know, kind of a lot for a pair of leggings. I was looking for the $10 ones.
3. K, this is like a superficial confession. But I really want one of those fancy strollers. I was not a good baby-stuff researcher. I just bought all the stuff my mom did (so, Chicco and Graco). And I have a Chicco stroller (which is perfectly usable and fine) and then one of those $30 fold-out, easy, tiny ones from Babies R Us for places like the zoo and the beach. And I actually use the cheap one the most because it is so small and easy. And for the record, they totally work and are fine. BUT now, I am noticing all these European/Italian things. A while ago, I went to Nordstrom, and I made a friend in the Bistro and we chatted about how ridiculous those expensive strollers are because babies just pee on them anyways. And honestly. I don't want to be one of those moms that has to have the organic/European/modern/whatever version of EVERYTHING. That said, I think I want one of those cool strollers for my next baby. I pushed one yesterday and holy cow. Such a difference. Are they worth it? I need lots of good points for when I present this to McKay!
