The Poof

hairstyle of choice since 2004.

Pants: The Loft; Blazer: Nords; Shirt: Down East; Headband: F21

Everyone has their go-to hair style right? Mine is the poof.
No bump-its, just lots of hair spray and teasing until it's tall enough. It works better if your hair is dirty...which happens a lot when you barely wash your hair like me.
It's okay that in high school, some called it a "bird's nest,", and some even petted it (boys are stupid sometimes), but seriously, a poof always makes a ponytail or a headband look better. I know the style is gravitating towards a middle part that's flat, but I can't go there yet. I have an excuse to not be completely in style...I'm a mom.

Three important rules for the poof:

1. Comb it out
Oops! Have you ever seen the actual teased part on the outside? Make sure you comb a section of hair over that part.

2. Poof the middle section
Have you ever seen it when someone looks like they actually have horns or something under their hair?  You have to do the middle section also.

3. Remain calm
Be careful that you don't rip all of your hair out, or you will have nothing left to poof.

the end- and happy poofing!

  1. I'm so afraid of the poof but you make it look so classy and effortless! I'm a fan of any hairstyle that doesn't require me to have clean hair, so I might have to attempt it one of these days! Thanks for the tips :)

  2. I like the poof....but I can NEVER get my hair to do it. So annoying. Maybe it's good that flat hair is in style....so maybe I can be more in style?? Ha

  8. Hmm it appears like your blog ate my first comment (it was super long) so I guess I'll just sum it up what I had written and say, I'm
thoroughly enjoying your blog. I too am an aspiring blog
writer but I'm still new to everything. Do you have any tips for beginner blog writers? I'd definitely appreciate it.
