Okay guys... :/
Here are the things I am making to sell. They're for baby girls. I made them this weekend, and now I need advice, critiques, everything. I can take it.
I know nothing about selling stuff. NOTHING.
When I was little, I had lots of businesses...a jewelry business, a card business, and a candle business- and I would sell things to my grandparents and brothers and then my grandpa would pay his employees to buy stuff from me. So sad and so nice at the same time.
Butttttt I don't think that would work anymore.
So now I need your opinions.
P.S. AND if I make zero dollars on them...I guess I will just stick them on my future girls!
(fingers crossed. pleeeaaasssseeee let me have girls someday...)
How cute! My favorites are the third one down and the sixth one down :) would be the perfect gift for my new cousins... three baby girls!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you just whipped those out! They look fantastic! I'm being totally honest. Seriously, so great.
ReplyDeleteMy only advice would be make them affordable, but expensive enough that you make a profit. I feel like way too many Etsy shops have great products but they are way out of the average person's price range.
Good luck!

yesyesyes. :) OF COURSE you should sell those! I have a million nieces, one who would look mighty adorable green striped/pink roses one. those would make the most perfect gift for little girls, especially bald ones who don't have enough hair to put a barrette in. I seriously love them!
ReplyDeleteoh ali, these are so cute! i second kelsey's comments…you need to be able to charge enough that you're actually making money (and consider alllllll the little costs that go into them), but still affordable enough that people will feel compelled to buy them. oh! and you might consider hosting giveaways on a few blogs (all of us either a. have kids; b. have nieces, or friends who have little girls; c. are constantly going to babyshowers) to drive some traffic to your site initially.
ReplyDeleteso proud of you! these are adorable. i think you should make ME something one of these days!
xoxo
This twin mom wants two...like seriously! I belong to a few multiples mom clubs (online and not)...I would LOVE to do a little plugging for you if you want! Multiples moms are golden! What price point are you thinking?
ReplyDeleteThese are really cool, some of them are a little quirky like the first and second ones, which I love. You have an eye for style.
ReplyDeleteWell my first piece of advice is: can you make these big enough for a full-sized head (or I could pass for like, extra-large baby, possibly) because these are adorable and I would totally wear them!! I don't know anything about etsy, but I do know a thing or two about Marketing (like, textbook. Since that's my major!). Obviously you need a great, adorable product. Check and check.
ReplyDeleteperfectly priya
OMFG I WILL TAKE ONE OF EACH FOR GEMMA SOOOO CUTE I COULD DIEEEEEE
ReplyDeleteOMG I seriously would buy EVERY one of these for my little girls, if I had any!! You are talented miss, totally open up a shop, sell them.. and I'll buy one. I think my favorites are #7 and #10 (from the top)!
ReplyDeletei say don't think about it too much - the same way you just put your mind to it and whipped these out, go about setting up your shop. i've done a lot of brand consulting and i will tell you that a good name for your shop/appealing design can be a gamechanger. keep trusting that gut. (and yes, of course, i agree with everyone above: adorable!)
ReplyDeleteThey are darling! I think they look great and you have good pictures of them which is a huge deal. If you ever have questions about selling online, feel free to ask me anytime! I have been through many ups and downs!
ReplyDeletehow much are you selling them for? you do NOT need advice, I want to buy them all.. and I dont even find out what the sex of my 3rd baby is until next week! way to go
ReplyDeleteI hope I'm not the only one who doesn't actually know you and is commenting on your blog.....if not I really don't mean to be a creeper! Haha But those are DANG cute!!! I'm getting induced Monday and having a little girl, and I'd totally buy those!!! Soooooo cute!!

ReplyDeleteAdorable! You're practically a professional :) Those headbands are beautiful and you will definitely make a killing selling items like them. I also make and {try to} sell baby/little girl headbands and hair clips and they are no match for those lovelies of yours! Good luck.

Little girls are way too much fun. :) These little headbands are adorable, I like the thinner bands with the bows, those are really cute, but all of them look really soft and gentle. I think the only thing that I would worry about would be the little buttons on a few of the flowers, my daughter had a tendency to chew everything and those would have looked way too delicious to her. Other than that, they are completely adorable! :)
ReplyDeleteIf we had a baby girl or my nieces were still little, I would be all over these - they are so, so adorable. #7 is my fav :D I also really like the product photos. When I'm shopping on etsy, the picture of what people are selling really affects my decision on whether to buy or not. Good luck, Ali!
ReplyDeleteThey are so cute! You're so creative.
ReplyDeletehi ali! i'm new here, but just wanted say i LOVE the little head bands! i actually really like that they are on a thick band, because those thin little bands always fall off! so so cute. need to sell :) my niece would rock 'em!
ReplyDeleteThey are seriously great. Let me know when the store goes live!
ReplyDeleteThese are adorable and if I had a daughter I would totally buy one!

LOVE these!!! I have 2 people I know pregnant - if they have girls - I'd buy one for sure!! Cute!
ReplyDeleteHey Ali!
ReplyDeleteThose are incredible! I can't believe you made those--they look like something out of a fancy little boutique! So lovely! :) I don't think you'll have any trouble selling them at all! You did a beautiful job. I think the key is going to be advertising--maybe you could find a blog that gets like, a ton of views and do a giveaway or something there. Just something to get your work out there for a lot of people to see. And once you can make a button, making one for your shop (assuming you use something like Etsy to sell them) and doing some button swaps.
Fabulous job!
Blessings! <3
These are so adorable!!!! :D Will you be selling them on ETSY?
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog, I'm a new follower :)
