Boy clothes are cute too

I haven't blogged in a while, so I thought I would just give a little update of our life!

First of all... WE ARE HAVING A BOY!!! We could not be more excited! Growing up, I always wished I had an older brother so we are so happy that we get to give one to our future kids. Way before our ultrasound, I had a feeling that it would be a boy. The day that we were going to the doctors we were beyond excited! McKay had to work that morning and we were texting each other all day about how much we couldn't wait to find out what our little baby would be. When we got to the doctor's office, we went in and the nurse asked what we thought the baby was. We looked at each other and I said, "It's a boy!" and she said "Yes, it's DEFINITELY a boy!" Our baby was not shy! Right away, we could tell (pretty obviously) that we were having a little son, and we can't wait!

It was Valentine's Day the day we found out, so we went out to Thai food for lunch at our favorite Thai place and then headed to Idaho Falls for some shopping! I wasn't sure if I could put together little boy outfits like I knew I could for a little girl, but I think with the help of McKay (who is the best dressed guy I know) we can do it. We had SO much fun getting clothes and holding them up and seeing how tiny they were! Right when we got home we laid them out all over our family room floor. The next day I deep cleaned our apartment, but I couldn't put the clothes away! It's been over a week and I have transferred them to our den floor haha. I love to just go in there and look at them! haha We can't wait until our little boy is finally here! July still seems so far away!

As far as the pregnancy sickness goes...it is morphing but not going away! I feel like I have experienced every sickness feeling possible for my body. I have had months of throwing up (which are DONE now!)  , tons of IV's, a trip to the ER and now I feel like I have a constant sinus infection...which, I've read, if you have that, you will probably have it your ENTIRE pregnancy! It's definitely better than anything else though. I remember being so sick and my mom telling me, "Ali, just wait until you get to four months, it is a BLAST! You have so much energy and you will look so cute pregnant." Well, I have no energy and no bump, but I know the bump will come soon!

I remember being so worried I would miscarriage and PRAYING that I would get sick so I could know that my baby was growing... I don't think I will ever pray for that again!

No matter what, I know everything I go through is for our little boy! We can't wait for him to get here. I think about him all day, every day and hope that he is a miniature McKay. McKay was the cutest little boy in the world...so hopefully our baby gets his daddy's genes!

I want to dress him like this...McKay hates the hat, but I LOVE it, so...we'll see. ;)

For Valentine's Day, McKay surprised me with roses, cute earrings and a flower hairpiece from a cute boutique, and Cocoa Bean cupcakes (my favorite!)

I made McKay a mini scrapbook where I wrote about "The Best Days of My Life." I started from the day we met and wrote about all of my favorite days since I have met him! Here are SOME of the pages...sorry they are such bad quality pictures!
